A light re-gilding in specific areas without detracting from the history of the frame

Blending in missing parts of a frame as well as mounting the pastel behind mountboard, creating a tray to catch the bits of pastel which detach themselves over time, and at the same time covering torn and damaged edges to the paper
Restoration
I restore gilded frames, rebuilding broken and chipped sections through making moulds, recasting and then blending and toning with different golds, bronze powders, paints, waxes and patinas.
I work with a paper conservator who is able to remove foxing, mould and other blemishes, restoring works on paper to top condition. Likewise, I work with a picture restorer who is able to clean and restore oil paintings to their former glory.
